L-2-hydroxyglutaric aciduria is an uncommon but debilitating disease of Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and other breeds. L2HGA is inherited,  and is passed on by dogs with a genetic mutation, to learn more see our pages on Testing.

Symptoms include wobbly walking, fits, muscle cramps and unusual behaviour - see our page Living with L2HGA for more details. To watch videos of Willow and Madge, two dogs with L2HGA look at our Symptoms page.

Finally, if your dog has L2HGA please take a few minutes to fill in our survey - and see our Facebook page, which many vets, owners, breeders and rescue centres have used to share information and spread the word.
